Hello' I scan a BMW X5 2002 4.4L M64 or E53 for USA and pull a "70 dtc" crank sensor, I replace it but still the same. There is no manual online and apparently that dtc does not exist. Any ideas? Thanks

This is a problem we find on several brands. The codes are the manufacturer codes which you will not find online. They can be translated in the standard codes but Autel decided to to show the versions we will not have much luck with when going online to search for info.

Could be a nice update to show the standard code and as a reference the original one too. Also on Renault (if I remember well) please?

You replaced a sensor but a code normally never tells you to 'change a sensor' but to check it's working, as well as wiring etc. If you buy a tool that has to tell you what exactly to do, good luck in finding such a thing (they don't exist). Look closely to the description of the code, it may give you better direction (circuit, signal, etc.)

Hello my friend, I understand that the code does not tell you what to do, we replace the
sensor as n owner request because it was a faster posible solution. The problem is
that we are having intermitent spark signal in the coils and in some moments nothing.
The code and description is not helping at all. We used to use generic code readers
that give you more info than this but of course does not read BMW. Not much to do but
old school and testers fr diagnostics?don,t get me wrong but it Seems like I expend
    5gs for nothing....

No I think is the wrong forum. I have buy the maxyflash pro J2534. And yes' that is the
price here in costa rica. They say because the software is different cause we have so
many diesel pickup trucks and an enormes variety of brands. I do believe it, and I know
the price in states is 2400. Actually we call to de US dealer and they explain the exact
same thing. SO FAR NOT GOOD

wow that is expensive, thanks for the input had no idea it cost so much over there. the bmw forum was given to me by another member, I did not actually checked everything in it just read a bit and found a bunch of weird codes and thought maybe you can find there what you were looking for. and  yes a lot of issues with the past few updates, its to the point that  I hardly use it anymore if is not one thing is another. some other members here have better luck than us I guess.

I have no info on that code either. one will think after paying all this money at least we can look at some real  trouble codes. and they want 1200 dollars for updates as well. had I paid 5k like you did believe me I will send that crap back in a heartbeat.
